We are in the final stretches! We did it! Your little critters are about to be 3rd graders!!!! I've had a great year with them. I am so proud of how each & everyone of them grew up over the last year.
Tomorrow we will wrap up Charlotte's Web. Both myself & the kids have really enjoyed reading this book. We will read the final chapters tomorrow morning and then in the afternoon we will watch the movie. I'm giving the children the option of watching the first or second version of the movie. We presented our insect reports. Yesterday we started power point presentations based on our insect findings. The students will finish these up today & then I plan on posting them here so parents can view them. Have a wonderful summer if I don' t We watched this clip yesterday. It is very funny, especially if you are a dog person. I'm posting the link in case any of my students want to share it with their families.

Everyone was so helpful yesterday showing her around the classroom and school. An extra big thanks goes out to Michaela, Abby & Olivia who really stepped up to the plate and gave her a big bobcat welcome. Everyone was hoping Maya would be on their team for field day but she has decided to join Addie, Peyton & Joshua on the pink team. We are glad to have you Maya!

Boy it has been a busy week and I can’t believe there are only 3 more weeks of school left. The attached newsletter has information regarding Field Day. I also need a head count for the students that WILL need a school lunch that day. The cafeteria will be preparing sack lunches for the students to eat outside with the rest of the school. No one will be eating indoors on FD. If your child will need a lunch from the cafeteria please email me by Wednesday the 11th. Parents are invited to the all school lunch so I hope you are able to join us.
We had a blast at the Butterfly Pavilion last week. The day went smoothly & I think just about everyone touched Rosie. We arrived and had lunch in an outdoor picnic area, explored the outdoor nature trails, attended an “Insect Inquiry” class and then had about an hour to roam around indoors in the 4 different exploration rooms. Pictures are up - take a look! At lunch last Thursday, we had the Bethke Book Challenge. Our class had 18 students competing!!!! They all did fantastic. This is my last “official” newsletter of the school year, however as things come up I will continue to send emails or post on the class website. |
