:) Mrs. Fitz
As we are down to our last couple days of school I wanted to say good-bye and thank you for a wonderful year. It has been great working with your children this year and they have all grown so much. If you need to reach me over the summer please email me as I will be checking my work email throughout the summer. If I don't see you in person over the next couple of days then here is my "good-bye hug" to all of you. Enjoy your summer and hopefully it won't fly by as they usually do.

can you believe it? I love watching our flowers and trees bloom and I love the warmer weather, but where did the year go??? May continues to be a busy month for second grade. Yesterday we started reading Charlotte's Web. Almost the entire class has seen the movie, but very few of them have read the book. We will be reading two chapters a day, so if your child is absent plan on them having make-up work at home. if you have an extra copy at home feel free to re-read the chapters at home along with your child. Next week we start our insect reports. I will be letting students select their insects later this week and we will spend some time researching our insect at school before putting our presentation together. Any materials students want to check out from the public library or print out from the internet at home will be welcomed. Friday we will have our last math unit test. Unit 12 begins on Monday and it is a review of each skill/concept they have learned throughout the year.
Happy Birthday Lindsey & Andrew K. I'm sorry both of you were sick on your birthdays. I hope you are feeling better & make it back to school soon. :)
